What this is.

Michèle Heffron, certified divorce coach for women

This is your lifeline. Weekly group coaching with Michèle Heffron where you show up as you are and leave knowing you're not alone. Three focused sessions each month where real coaching happens, plus a fourth open session for whatever your week brought up.

Between calls, you have a private community of women you can relate to who understand what it feels like when everything you planned in life suddenly shifts. When you're staring at financial documents you helped build but never understood. A community where creating space for yourself feels foreign after decades of putting everyone else first.

You also get access to guided prompts for when your head is spinning, suggested reading that makes sense for where you are, and a network of professionals who specialize in Divorce. This is coaching: forward-focused, grounded in the realities of starting over in midlife, designed to help you navigate this transition with your dignity intact.

Wherever you are in this process, you belong here.

The Threshold is built for women in midlife and beyond at every point in the Gray Divorce journey. Whether you're just realizing your marriage is over, deep in legal proceedings, or rebuilding after everything is finalized. You don't need to be at a particular point to benefit. You just need to be ready to stop doing this alone.

Here's what no one tells you about Gray Divorce.

Gray Divorce involves exponentially more complexity than divorces earlier in life. After decades of marriage, you have retirement accounts, real estate, businesses, and financial structures that take months to untangle and thousands in professional fees to understand.

Your attorney handles the legal work. Your financial advisor runs projections. But none of them can help you navigate the emotional complexity of splitting a life built over decades, communicate with devastated adult children, or make decisions from your values rather than from fear, obligation, and guilt.

What Michèle does is everything that makes the legal and financial work go better while saving you thousands in unnecessary fees. The emotional preparation. The identity work. The practical education. The communication strategies. This work saves you time, money, and years of emotional chaos.

What you actually receive.

Weekly group coaching with Michèle, live on Zoom Every Tuesday, 12:00 PM Pacific / 3:00 PM Eastern.

Three core sessions per month with real coaching, plus a fourth session that's yours to use however you need—makeup coaching if you missed a session, open Q&A, or additional support for whatever came up that week. These sessions happen every Tuesday, whether you can make it or not, because part of this work is learning to carve out time that's just for you.

Accountability for complex timelines.

Gray Divorce has more moving parts than any other divorce. Michèle holds you accountable to getting things done so your divorce doesn't drag on for years, costing additional tens of thousands in fees.

Education that saves you money.

Understand pension and retirement account division, healthcare transitions, Social Security impacts. Walk into every meeting prepared to make informed decisions rather than expensive emotional reactions.

Tools for difficult conversations.

Communicate with adult children without letting their emotions drive your decisions. Set boundaries with family members. Navigate social circles built around being married.

Your specialized professional team.

Michèle connects you with vetted professionals who understand Gray Divorce complexity and won't waste your time or money.

A private community of women who understand.

Other women in midlife and beyond who know what it means to question everything you thought you knew about your life.

Resources for identity rebuilding.

Guided prompts for rediscovering who you are outside of being someone's wife. Tools for making decisions from your values rather than fear, obligation, and guilt.

  • You want a real partnership and you are done making peace with its absence.

  • You have tried enough approaches to know that strategy is not the answer.

  • You are willing to look honestly at your patterns, without judgment and without excuses.

  • You understand that real change requires real investment, and you are ready for both.

  • You are done waiting to feel more ready.

Want to talk through your specific situation first?

Why this works.

Coaching is different from therapy, and both are different from legal counsel.

Therapy helps you process the past. Legal counsel handles the paperwork. Coaching helps you move forward with intention and clarity. The Threshold is the piece that often gets skipped and yet it’s the one that helps you make better decisions faster, which saves you time and significant money in the long run.

The people in the room are living it with you.

In real time. You may be at different stages of the process, but that's actually where the wisdom lives. You will learn from every woman in this space, especially when witnessing another member during her coaching session.

Research shows you gain insights and strategies simply by watching others work through their challenges. When you hear another woman articulate something you've been feeling but couldn't put into words, or when you watch her navigate a conversation you're dreading, something shifts. The collective wisdom in the room becomes available to everyone.

You will show up differently to every professional conversation.

The attorneys, mediators, and financial professionals in your divorce are working on your behalf. The more grounded, prepared, and clear you are when you walk into those meetings, the more effectively they can do their jobs. Women who come to those meetings prepared, emotionally steady, and focused on their actual goals move through the process faster and at significantly less cost.

You are creating space for yourself, maybe for the first time.

For decades, you've been someone's wife, someone's mother, someone's caregiver. This transition, as painful as it is, is also an invitation to discover who you are when you're not defined by taking care of everyone else. This work helps you navigate that discovery with support instead of trying to figure it out alone.

You are not going through this alone.

The weight of navigating Gray Divorce in isolation is overwhelming. Showing up each week to a room where other women understand the unique complexities of rebuilding in midlife, with a coach who has been through divorce twice and specializes in this transition, changes everything about how you carry this experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about this in a group.

Most women who join feel exactly that way before their first session. You decide what you share. Many women find it easier to open up in a room where others understand the complexity of Gray Divorce than in conversations where they feel they need to have it all figured out. You come as you are.

What if I'm still deciding whether to stay or go?

This is one of the most important places to have consistent support. Many members of The Threshold join during discernment, before any decision has been made. Getting support in that stage means you're giving yourself the grounding to make a decision from your values rather than from fear, obligation, and guilt.

What if my divorce was finalized and I'm still struggling?

You are absolutely welcome here. The end of the legal process is not the end of the identity transition. Many women find that the work of rebuilding their sense of self and creating a life that feels authentically theirs takes time, and having consistent support during that rebuilding phase is invaluable.

What about sessions I miss?

The fourth week of each month is an open coaching and make-up session. If you miss a core session, that week is available to you. Sessions are held live on Zoom, in a contained space, and being present is how you get value from it.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching and therapy serve different purposes. Therapy processes the past. Coaching focuses forward. If you're also working with a therapist, this work complements that well. If you're not, this is a different kind of support and is not a substitute for clinical care when that is what's needed.

I can't do Tuesdays at noon.

Reach out directly at [email protected]. We want to find a way to make this work for you, and a second group may be an option depending on demand. You can also ask to be added to the waitlist for an alternate session time.

What does the 12-session minimum mean?

The minimum commitment is 12 sessions. Gray Divorce is not a process that resolves in a few weeks, and the value of consistent support compounds over time. Most members continue beyond 12 sessions because the foundation they've built makes continuing worthwhile. After your initial commitment, membership continues month to month.

What you can expect to walk away with.

A clearer sense of what you actually value and what decisions should follow from those values rather than from fear, obligation, and guilt. A working understanding of the professionals involved in your divorce and who you need on your team. Habits of preparation that change how you show up to every meeting and save you money in professional fees. Documents submitted on time. A network of vetted referral professionals ready when you need them. Strategies for navigating relationships with adult children and family members without letting their emotions drive your decisions. And the specific, hard-won knowledge that you can move through one of the most complex transitions of your life with your sense of yourself not just intact, but expanded.

Interested but want to talk first?

P.S. I've been through divorce twice. The second time, I was nearly 50 and had been a stay-at-home mom for a decade. I didn't understand the complexity of what I was facing, and my settlement showed it. That's exactly why I do this work. When I see women trying to navigate something as complex as Gray Divorce, I want to reach out and help them move through this process with the confidence they need to create life on their terms. No one should do this alone.

P.P.S. Enrollment is always open with rolling admission. New members join throughout the year. If you're ready, the door is open.
